When their bellies are empty will they head to a place to salve their thirst? While you’re away will they head out for late cruising with their buddies? Will Car Clubs become places where Autonomericans gather to make poor processing choices? Will we understand that beneath that cold exterior lives a warmth that can only be properly experienced through remote starting systems? Will they know that it’s you that fills that emptyness inside them? Will they allow you to keep walking out on them? Will they see their uses as property or partnership? Is it ethical to make “kill switches” an option?
They are boxes of traveling data that know your routines, habits, and how you react to the world around you. Perhaps we will be physically safer with cars in control but are we giving up a different kind of safety?
